HAMPTA PASS TREK & CHANDRATAL DRIVE FROM MANALI

Reach Manali and meet your trekking guide at the reporting place. After a quick briefing, a vehicle will drop you to Jobra basecamp. Start your trek to Balu ka Ghera and on the way enjoy the mesmerizing views of Himalayas while trekking along River Rani to reach Chika. Stay overnight and enjoy the dinner at the tents in Chika.

Enjoy the breakfast at the Chika campsite and ascend further up to Balu ka Ghera. Witness glimpse of the Dhauladhar range along with the valley filled with beautiful flowers. Reach Balu ka Ghera and settle down at the tents in the Campsite. Enjoy the bonfire along with delicious dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, start your trek of around 7 kms to Siagoru. Trek starts with a steep ascend till hampta pass. Stop at hampta pass alongside hampta village to enjoy the panoramic views from the top. Experience the Himalayas and then start the descent to the Siagoru campsite. Camp and stay overnight at the campsite.

Start your day while enjoying the breakfast in the lap of Himalayas. Take a short and easy trek of around 3 Kms to Chhatru while experiencing beautiful landscapes of Spiti. On reaching Chhatru start the drive to Chandratal (Drive to Chandratal is subject to road and weather conditions, alternatively, halt at Chhatru campsite). Chandratal means “Lake of the Moon” and is situated in Spiti valley on the Samudra Tapu plateau. The lake is said to change colours throughout the day. Experience the calm surroundings and beautiful blue sky amidst white show covered peaks. Enjoy the one and a half drive to Chandratal and return back to Chhatru campsite for an overnight stay.

Conclude this unique adventure by finishing your breakfast at the campsite and starting your return drive to Manali via the Atal tunnel, the highest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 feet (3,048 m) in the world. Enjoy the rest of the day and explore the mall road and cafes around while concluding your trip.
