BHUBANESHWAR, PURI, KONARK & CHILIKA TRIP

Arrive at Bhubaneshwar and meet our representative at a predefined location to start your transfer to Puri. On the way visit Dhauli and witness the famous Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist Pilgrimage. Also visit the splendid Edicts of Ashoka embossed on a mass of rock. Reach Puri to check in the pre booked hotel. During evening plan a visit to Puri beach, explore local markets and get back at hotel for overnight stay.

Wake up early in the morning to visit Jagannath Temple, known as the fourth Dham and amongst the most sacred destination of Lord Vishnu. Witness morning Mangal Aarti and get soaked into the divine environment of faith. Enjoy the Mahaprasad, a combination of 56 food items, aka Chappan bhog cooked in the kitchen believed to be the largest of its kind in the world featuring about 250 chulis (hearths). Later in the day proceed towards Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO world heritage site. The temple resembles a colossal chariot, with 24 wheels, pulled by seven straining horses, and has a three-tiered pyramidal roof topped off by a fine spire. Along with visiting the Sun temple you can visit the museum of the archaeological survey. While returning back to Puri, plan a visit to the famous Chandrabhaga Beach. Return back to your hotel in Puri and get recharged for the next morning.

After finishing breakfast, it’s now time to depart for Satpada. After reaching satpada, visit the Chilika Lake, the largest salt water lake of India and the largest wintering ground for migratory birds in the Indian Subcontinent. Enjoy leisure time while enjoying the beautiful environment during the rest of the day. Check in the pre booked hotel and call off the day.

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and start your trip back to Bhubaneshwar. Enroute plan your visit to Sakshigopal temple, a medieval period temple dedicated to lord Gopinath. Later on the way, visit Pipili, famous for its applique work, which is also considered as traditional art form of Odisha. Visit Pipili hata, the local market to shop for local traditional crafts. If time permits, plan your visit on your own to Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves, the rock cut caves excavated in two adjacent hills. Later reach Bhubaneshwar and conclude your trip.
