BHUBANESHWAR, PURI, KONARK & CHILIKA & GOPALPUR TRIP

Arrive at Bhubaneshwar and check in the hotel. Later our representative will meet you to start your Bhubaneshwar sightseeing. Later in the day visit the Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves, the rock cut caves excavated in two adjacent hills. Also plan your visit to Mukteshwar, Ananta Vasudeva and Lingraj Temple located in the heart of the city. Reach back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Finish your breakfast and check out the hotel to start your transfer to Puri. On the way visit Dhauli and witness the famous Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist Pilgrimage. Also visit the splendid Edicts of Ashoka embossed on a mass of rock. On the way also visit the Raghurajpur artist village, famous for local handicrafts like Patchitra (cloth-based scroll painting) and palm leaf painting. Reach Puri to check in the pre booked hotel. During evening plan a visit to Puri beach, explore local markets and get back at hotel for overnight stay.

Wake up early in the morning to visit Jagannath Temple, known as the fourth Dham and amongst the most sacred destination of Lord Vishnu. Witness morning Mangal Aarti and get soaked into the divine environment of faith. Enjoy the Mahaprasad, a combination of 56 food items, aka Chappan bhog cooked in the kitchen believed to be the largest of its kind in the world featuring about 250 chulis (hearths). Later in the day proceed towards Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO world heritage site. The temple resembles a colossal chariot, with 24 wheels, pulled by seven straining horses, and has a three-tiered pyramidal roof topped off by a fine spire. Along with visiting the Sun temple you can visit the museum of the archeological survey. While returning back to Puri, plan a visit to the famous Chandrabhaga Beach. Return back to your hotel in Puri and get recharged for the next morning.

After finishing breakfast, it’s now time to depart for Satpada. After reaching satpada, visit the Chilika Lake, the largest salt water lake of India and the largest wintering ground for migratory birds in the Indian Subcontinent. Later in the afternoon, start your drive to Gopalpur. Enjoy leisure time while enjoying the amazing and peaceful beaches. Check in the pre booked hotel and call off the day.

Finish your breakfast early in the morning to start your trip to Taptapani, famous for a perennial hot spring of Medicinal Water. You can bath in at the pond created next to the hot spring. Later reach Chandragiri, home of the highest Buddhist monastery of South Asia. After spending time at the monastery, travel back to your hotel at Gopalpur. Relax and immerse yourself in nature and experience the beaches with the azure water of the Bay of Bengal.

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and start your trip back to Bhubaneshwar. Reach Bhubaneshwar and conclude your trip.
