KARNATAKA DELIGHT: BENGALURU, MYSORE, COORG & OOTY

Arrive at Bengaluru airport and meet our representative to get transferred to the hotel. After relaxing for a while at the hotel head out to explore the city. Visit Bengaluru Palace, a remarkable example of the Neo-Gothic style of architecture with turrets, battlements and fortified towers. Later visit Lalbagh, one of the oldest botanical gardens in India. Established in 1760 by Hyder Ali, Lalbagh houses a wide variety of flora, including over 1000 species of plants, trees, and shrubs. It has a variety of rare and exotic plants, including the famous Lalbagh Rock, one of the oldest rock formations in the world. Later in the evening spend leisure time exploring famous shopping malls and night life of Bengaluru. By night, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

After finishing breakfast, it’s now time to depart to the city of Palaces- Mysore. Upon reaching check in the hotel and start your Mysore exploration. Visit Chamundeshwari Temple, dedicated to the goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of the Hindu deity Shakti. The temple is situated atop the Chamundi Hills and has a rich history and is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in South India. Later visit St. Philomena’s Church, an over 200 year old, magnificent neo-gothic structure. Later in the evening, visit the Mysore Palace, a stunning three-storied stone structure with marble domes that is lit up at night. During late evening you can also plan to relax at the Brindavan Garden with large verities and musical fountain. Later return back to your hotel to get recharged for the next morning.

Finish your breakfast at the hotel and checkout the hotel to start your trip to Coorg. On the way stop at Bylukuppe Tibetan Settlement Golden Temple. The temple was built in the early 1990s and is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in South India. After exploring a few more spots on the way, reach Coorg and check in the hotel. Relax for some time and head out to visit Raja seat, a beautiful garden located on a hilltop, with a beautiful view of the surrounding valley, mountains, and forests. The garden is full of colorful flowers and a variety of trees, and provides an amazing view of the sunset and sunrise. After the unforgettable experience, return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Coorg.

Enjoy your breakfast and start exploring Coorg. Visit Talakaveri, located at the source of the river Kaveri. The sacred temple town- Talakaveri is situated on the Brahmagiri hill range of the Western Ghats. Later visit Bhagamandala, a village located at the confluence of the rivers Cauvery, Kannike, and Sujyoti. It is a pilgrimage centre and the temple of Sri Bhagandeswara is the main temple here. After spending time at the temple, visit Abbey Falls, a beautiful waterfall located amidst coffee and spice plantations with trees of black pepper, cardamom, and vanilla. Enjoy spectacular sight with the water cascading down the rocky cliff from a height of 70 feet. By evening, return to your hotel at Coorg.

Checkout the hotel after breakfast and proceed towards Ooty, home attractions such as botanical gardens, tea plantations, trekking trails, and lakes. Enroute visit Dubare Elephant Camp, an elephant camp on the banks of the river Kaveri. You can interact with the elephants, feed and bathe them, and even take part in their training and care. After this memorable experience, proceed with your journey to Ooty. Reach and check in the pre booked hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour of Ooty. Visit the highest peak of Ooty- Doddabeta Peak, known for lush green vegetation. Enjoy the breath taking panoramic views and later return to visit the Botanical garden, home to a variety of exotic flora and fauna. Also visit Rose Garden with more than 20,000 varieties of roses in 1,000 different species. It is the largest Rose garden in India and has been in operation since 1995. Later in the evening visit the Ooty Lake, surrounded by beautiful hills and lush green trees. You can enjoy popular activity at the lake, like boating, horse riding, picnics, photography, and bird watching. Return to your hotel in Ooty for night stay.

After enjoying your breakfast, check out the hotel. Start your approximately 6 hours return journey to Bengaluru. En route, enjoy the beauty of the Western Ghats with lush green forests. Reach Bengaluru and take a drop to the Airport/Railway station for your return flight/Train.
