Shimla is an old-world charm with beautiful colonial architecture, pedestrian-friendly Mall Road and the ridge lined up with multiple shops, cafes and restaurants. Shimla is often covered along with nearby towns of Kufri and the famous Jakhu Temple. Moving further Manali is one of the most attractive tourist spot of Himachal Pradesh. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass on the eastern end of the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. The pass is on the watershed between the water basins of the Chenab River and the Beas River. Another town of Himachal-Dharamshala is blessed with the same beauty as other parts of the state, but what sets it apart is its strong Tibetan character. You see prayer fluttering prayer flags, monasteries at regular intervals and monks attired in bright saffron robes. There are tourist spots in plenty, but mostly, Dharamsala is about unwinding and enjoying the serenity that is found here in abundance.
